This day seemed like it would never come. I've been mumbling my domain name to people for nearly 2 and 1/2 years.

Out with friends, the subject of my business would come up, I loved talking about the exciting projects we're doing, but when asked about my website, I'd just change the subject.

I know it's childish to offer excuses, but I really, really didn't have time to work on it, so it lay there like a discarded shoe, down at the heel, and needing more than just a bit of polish to make it serviceable.

Finally this week, to woo a new client, I put up a VERY quick site on our dev server to demo the cool stuff you can do with Community Builder, Groupjive, UHP2, and EventsHandler. I got that thing installed, configured and even full of Lorem Ipsum in 3 and 1/2 hours. And when done, it looked pretty good, except for the logo I dashed off.

Since the crew chief of wrapIT Development Team, Greg Correll, was launching the new site for Small Packages, Inc. yesterday, I was getting some of his screen shots for a portfolio. I tossed him a link via IM, and he came unglued at the site of my "logo" (It really didn't deserve being glamorized by the use of the word logo).

Naturally as our visual guy, he insisted on making me one, and true to his word had it back to me in an hour.

So I spent today getting the knobs polished, and editing the text down by 75%, and now we are proud of our website for the first time in a long time.

Feels so good...
