I spent a pleasant hour helping a friend who is a bit of a newcomer to the internet with his new WordPress blog the other evening. There is really a lot to admire about WordPress, and I am excited about the "integration" with Joomla! called JDWordPress. I'm currently testing that at www.gracewomen.org.

I did manage to get his theme installed, with which he had been struggling for a week or two. Perhaps even a bigger feat was managing to keep my mouth shut about his being a bit "late to the party" in the blogosphere.

Doesn't it seem as though the internet is crowded? It's an illusion, I know, but it is powerful, particularly when one has been around it for a long time. He needed encouragement from me, not a splash of cold water. So he is this week launching a business blog. He's a good writer, and knowledgeable and passionate abut the topic. As soon as he has some content up, I'll post more here about it. Who knows, he may hit it big.
